Gevalia Kaffe Peruvian Organic Coffee
Up until about a year ago, I’d never really been a big fan of drinking coffee; I enjoyed coffee drinks-such as lattes, frappucinos, cappucinos, etc-but I never really got into brewing coffee at home, I just didn’t enjoy the flavor quite as much as the frilly coffee drinks I’d been used to. The fact is, I must have never had really good coffee before, because when I finally started buying the good stuff, I fell in love with it.
With me, it’s not just the taste of coffee, but the full experience of drinking it; a warm mug of rich, earthy coffee with a touch of cream (most likely vanilla) is so comforting early in the morning (even better while sitting on the couch at home in pajamas).
I started receiving Gevalia coffee by mail recently, actually, but I was instantly hooked, especially on this particular roast, called Peruvian Organic-it’s a medium roast, which is preferable for myself (I don’t like really strong-flavored coffee). The flavor is something that Gevalia describes best on it’s website: “light and smooth, with a medium body and pleasing, slightly floral acidity and subtle earthiness.” This is exactly how it tastes; it really is one of the most smooth coffee flavors I’ve tried, and the complex flavor is intoxicating; I’d highly recommend giving it a try, especially since Gevalia has so many amazing trial offers, with some you can even get a free coffee machine (I did)!
